A penny for your thoughts, oh internet.
I have something to tell you. Something absolutely astounding.
December is here.
I know! It's shocking! My initial thought was "Holy crap, I need to turn in my billables today." Guess that's what passing the bar will do for your thought processes. But my second thought was even scarier.
"What the hell do I get my husband?"
You see, my husband's birthday is a few days after Christmas. It's a significant birthday this year. A nice, even, round number. We were in Hawaii last year for his birthday. But this year, on his oh-so-significant birthday? He'll be driving a moving van full of our possessions southbound down I-5. And that, my friends, is kind of a let-down.
So help me out. What do you get for a man who is one of the most loving, caring, amazing people in this world? The kind of person who supports your biggest dreams and helps you find a way to make even the worst days a little better? It doesn't have to be big or expensive. It just needs to mean something.
Good thing I still have a month. I'm going to need all the time I can get.

I feel your pain. My husband's birthday is in November so as soon as I've exhausted all my brilliant gift ideas, suddenly I have to go shopping again. He just ordered his 2006 Audi A4 so I think that's a pretty good Christmas gift. :)
Ok, so, earlier I had a lovely and incredibly creative list of ideas I tried to post, but between my computer and something funky with the blogger word verification, it wouldn't post.
So I'm going to try it again later...
Here's some ideas, although it really depends on what he likes and is into.
-Make your own gift certificates...for things like cooking his favorite meal, a backrub, dry cleaning...you could even get naughty.
-A weekend away at a bed and breakfast.
-Oooh, wine tasting weekend in Napa Valley. (I did it with my Husband and we really enjoyed it!)
-Pre-pay for golf rounds or golf lessons or a bag of golf essentials like balls, glove, towels, etc.
Ok, out of ideas for now. If I think of any more, I'll come back.
No idea, babycakes. I would have to feel that kind of emotion to be able to make a suggestion!
A pair of season tickets to his favorite local sport [baseball, basketball, etc.] Or, a couple of sets of tickets to the game(s) when his fave teams are playing the local teams. You can go with him as a date, or he can bring friends.
Or socks. Men love socks. ;)
